we are at Anzio Borrego Desert

and it is wonderful, the sand is glowing. We arrived just  in time to see the sun set, behind what I think are theSanta Rosa Mountains, there is a half moon tonight so the sands are glowing, we can see the lights of town of Borrego Springs in the distance and half a dozen rvs about  1/2 mile away.

I wrote night  and just when I went to publish it the verizon card lost it's signal so I lost the blog. when we were at Rio Vista we stayed Saturday at Brannon Island State Park which is on the Sacramento -San
Joaquin Delta, we decided to stay an extra day ( Sunday] and went to pay, and were told that it was closed until Wed. I guess it's part of the cutbacks in California. they diected us to  Sandy Beach County Park in Rio
Vista, not as nice but a bargain, huge campsite with water and electric, free showers, boat launch, rv dump, $21.

We drove the I 5 from Stockton to Bakersfield, the highway is in really bad shape, it was exhausting as a passenger,Skip had it worse not only dealing with the constant bumping from the changes in the road, he had to deal with  the side draft from all the huge trucks, so wiped out and with  no where to go, we headed to the Walmart, asked permission to stay and parked with about 15 other RVs for the night.

I'll post about today's journey tomorrow, including the naked woman, who Skip missed seeing.

Thanks for your comments
